eyejourney plays an essential role in SANA’s patient pathways. The application does a lot of communication heavy lifting before, during and after our patient’s time in hospital. The apps educational resources and videos are personalised to the clinic, featuring both our locations and staff. It helps our patients and their families through the decisions they need to make about their treatment. Seeing the clinic staff and understanding the process prior to consultation and surgery significantly decreases their anxiety.

The result is more positive interactions with patients. We have noticed that our patients arrive at the slit lamp educated and aware of their options asking us questions around lens choices and refractive planning. Our ward staff report smoother admission and discharge. The customer service team has documented a significant drop in phone calls regarding post operative concerns.

Being present on our patients’ phones in a professionally branded app with our companies logo and guiding them step by step has been a great advertisement. Driving new traffic through the clinic as patients show their friends.
